Happy 4th Birthday Nora!

Our little Miss Nora is now four years old and what a great weekend to celebrate with friends and family! The weather was just amazing... sunshine for both days, making it another excuse for everyone to be so happy and smiley!

But the main occasion was Nora's Gymnastics Party! What a fun time, I don't think there was anything to wipe the smile off my face, I enjoyed every bit of watching Nora have a fun time, watching her friends and their parents get really into it all. We went through Phoenix Gymnastics and their St. James community location in Kits. What a great space! Everything was very catered to the little ones and the two coaches were really awesome, they fully engaged the kids with games, songs and showing and helping them do tumbles or rope swings, etc. Pretty cool.
It seems like the kids had a blast jumping around... never seen so many red cheeks! Just in time for a rest with birthday cupcake time! It was cute... Nora enjoyed the song, and then said "I quickly blew out my candles so that no one else could blow them out!"... ha ha too cute, I think that was after watching Tyler blow Megan's candles out at her birthday party, she didn't want that to happen, so she had a plan! :)

After cupcakes, the kids had another half hour to burn off their sugar, and burn off they did... into the foam pit!

This year, Nora got involved in the crafty stuff for the party, so she helped me with the cupcake toppers. She helped punch the flowers, put on the stickers and glue them all together. Same for the favours, she helped put them together and made sure everyone was accounted for. It was really sweet during the week to see how excited she got that she had made these for her friends and just couldn't wait to hand them out. So, it was quite fun watching her announce to everyone, "Now I have something for you, it's a surprise... you're going to like it!", then handed them out.


The party was not over yet! On Sunday we hosted the family for lunch and birthday cake! Then because it was such a beautiful sunny day, we took full advantage of it and went for a walk around the seawall and ended up at the playground with the cuzzies.

Super duper fun... birthdays are awesome and even better now that we have kids to share and experience it with. They see the joy in the littlest thing and it just really makes you appreciate everything!
