Birthdays and parties...

It's not only Christmas parties to attend to, but also birthdays to celebrate!

On Saturday we celebrated my Dad's birthday (his birthday is tomorrow). It was fun to see my parents surrounded by their three grandchildren, so awesome... and to think that next year, there'll be FOUR grandkids! Yay! (And no, it won't be our third child, in case you haven't heard.... Steve and Cherie are expecting baba #2 in April next year, exciting times!)

On Sunday, we had two parties... and luckily they were timed so Lily could nap in the car in between. First we went to celebrate Coraline's first birthday. Wow do we have a lot of friends who have kids! Thank goodness for a large common room to fit all the kids, their parents and lots of room to run around! The lens on my camera couldn't fit everyone in... so we'll have to wait for Cherie's pics, but it was a lot of fun seeing them all in one sitting, and not too hectic at all! :) (Coraline is the one in the white sweater)

Then it was off to Science World for the Radical kid's party! I've never taken Nora there before but she quite enjoyed all the little stations... her favourite part was doing the stationary wheelchair race with Maddy and watching them race on the screens.

There was a magician who got Maddy and Nora to participate... cute watching them get very excited about helping out... not sure if they understood or got the magic trick... but fun seeing them get involved.

And now... it's officially the winter solstice and it's just four more sleeps till Christmas!! Hope the shopping and madness are going well!
