Viva Las Vegas!

I finally have some time to post about my awesome all-girls weekend in Vegas! It's been tough coming back down from the high of Vegas... that place is insane! For some odd reason, as soon as you land... all reasoning of time, money and food goes out the door... and in comes fun, lights, glitz and 'just one more bet'!

It was such a brilliant weekend and spending it with the gals was so much fun. On Thursday night, some folks went to watch Cirque du Soleil's 'O', while Ang (VIP for the weekend), Sandra, Tracey and I went out for a yummy and very filling dinner at the Wynn's 'Daniel Boulud' restaurant.

After dinner, we checked out the Bellagio fountains and then made our way back to T.I (Treasure Island). Last time I'd been to Vegas, Paris was just getting built...now it's up there along with other beautiful and grand hotels. This place is amazing at night... I wonder how many light bulbs there are on that strip? :)

The Planet Hollywood hotel has recently been re-done... it used to be the old Aladdin Hotel. It has some very funky interior design in there... similar to the Cactus Club restaurants out here.

The weekend was filled with gambling (YES, I gambled and it wasn't the penny slots!!), shopping (OH, the shopping at the premium outlet malls and the Fashion Mall right across from the hotel), eating (thank goodness, we only got one yummy Bellagio buffet in there, the rest was wholesome, awesome regular dining), dancing (we got in at Tangerine night club and Pure at Caesar's Palace), oh and let us not forget the screaming (damn those Chippendales are HOT (well only some, okay, well maybe just one! Too funny that everyone was routing for the same guy!).

Ahhh the fun times... especially (this is allllll thanks to Tracey and Ang) the Pai Gow Poker. The two of them introduced and slowly convinced most of the girls to learn and play.... and the best part... we all pretty much came back with some winnings! Well, we don't have the money to show 'cos we went shopping but hey, we got money to go shopping! The insane part of the weekend was looking at each other at 4am each morning thinking, "how the heck are we still awake... one more bet??" I tell ya, time just flies out the door when you land... who needs sleep apparently!

The weekend was well organized by Pauline and Sandra (Ang's bridesmaids) and kudo's on them for getting fourteen girls on a schedule and out to places all on time! That's no easy task :)

And so another fun vacation comes to an end. River Rock anyone? :)
