A Courtenay Visit

This past weekend we went over to the island for a big family visit!  It was extra special as we had so many reasons to all get together.  One was to celebrate Lily's 3rd birthday (a separate post on those festivities later!), another to watch Maya perform in her dance recital and a third to celebrate an early Mother's Day!  Big bonus was that Naomi and Heath also came out for the visit, so it was super fun to have everyone together.

Beautiful!
The weather was just gorgeous and so very summery! On Saturday, after a delicious birthday lunch, the girls went out for an awesome bike ride with Maya, just on the paved trails behind Grammy's house, just enough of a workout for cake after!

All such big girls now!

That night, we went to the Sid Williams Theatre to watch Maya perform in her dance studio's 'Pantuso Dance Groove 2013'.  The girls thoroughly enjoyed watching their big cousin do 3 dances (ballet, modern and musical theatre)...it was perfect sitting close to the front so we got some great views of Maya.  The rest of the dances were awesome, including a boys only tap dance to U2's 'Where the Streets have no name' and the Dad's dancing to Dirty Dancing's "Time of my Life".

Mommies!
On Sunday, we went to the Kingfisher Spa and Resort for our Mother's Day brunch!  This is the place to go if you happen to be near Courtenay.  They have such a beautiful setting and amazing views of the beach and ocean and the food was awesome (and ongoing!)

Lily's favourite... jello dessert!
What a great weekend in so many ways, my favourite watching the girls play with their cousins and family with pure love and joy!  So so special!  Thanks for a great weekend!

Cuzzies!
