Whistler Weekend

This past weekend we headed up to Whistler with the girls, my parents, Steve, Cherie & Megan. We stayed in a beautiful townhouse just outside of the main village and enjoyed the summer weather (so nice to have AC at times as it got quite hot during the day!).

We found a waterpark in Alpine Meadows where the water was just freezing but quite refreshing! I didn't bring my camera so no pics so we'll have to wait for Cherie's pics to be posted.

Within the village, we checked out the Children's Adventure centre that they set up in the Upper Village. A lot of the activities (bungee, pony rides, luge, bumper cars) are too big for the girls so we'll have to go back another day. But note to self, save up lots of money to do these activities, they don't come cheap! :)

Nora showing Cherie how to hop scotch :)

There was a treehouse playground that Nora really enjoyed. It was here that she made her first friend, outside of our group of friend's kids. She took a big interest in what the bigger kids were doing, and then started hanging out with them, asking what their names were. There was one girl, Ella, who was 5 who also loved hanging out with Nora, so they'd follow each other, and Nora would mainly tell her what to do... quite cute seeing her boss around a 5 year old who just loved taking care of Nora. It's so sweet to see Nora not be shy around the kids and to go up to them, say hi, or ask their name. Generally, up until recently, she's always been quite reserved and observant, so it was so nice to see her coming out of her shell.

Trav also taking time to enjoy the treehouse :)

And Lily, well Lily was just awesome... she's a calm, quiet baby, loves to hang out, watch people walk around the room, and every now and then we'd hear her calling out for a bit of attention ;). It's great we didn't really have to worry too much about her, which was good, because the other two girls kept us all on our toes and super busy. Either they'd be playing like such sweet angels, or else they'd be fighting over the same objects and we'd have to remind them about sharing with one another, or being gentle to each other. Hard work, even with 6 adults around! :)

Fun weekend and always a blast hanging out together, especially having Trav around for 3 days straight! Loved it. He should vacation more ;)
