Our First Family Christmas
Wow, talk about a WHITE Christmas! I hope that everyone got to where they were going safe and sound. Once we saw the snow falling down and piling up on the morning of Christmas Eve, we decided to head to my parents (Port Moody) sooner than later. It's a good thing because it just felt soooo much better to be in their home in the afternoon than having to battle with the roads, crazy impatient drivers and snow.
We started Christmas morning with a yummy pancake breakfast followed by opening pressies. Nora was napping when we started opening our gifts but once she woke up we got her in the spirit of crinkly tissue paper, boxes and gift bags!
The best gift for Nora was from her Auntie Cherie & Uncle Stephen...(it came with instructions)...
Those guys are so creative! Thanks again for the gift, Nora loves and coos each time she sees it lying on the floor, just waiting to be played with!
Howard, Trevor and Christie then joined us for dinner. Nora's first Christmas dinner and it was delicious! She had her first taste of turkey, together with some yams... delish! Next year we won't forget to add apple pie to her dessert! After that we played 'Family Cranium' with girls vs boys... and oh boy, us girls REALLY need to learn more facts and trivia b/c we weren't that good (lets just say, we were really terrible) at 'Data Head'. It was a good thing that Nora had white noise to accompany her while she was sleeping b/c there was some pretty loud cheerleading and boo's going on! :)
It's always so much fun going to my parents for Christmas with Steve & Cherie. Even though they only live about 45 minutes away, we all pack up and spend the two nights together. This year was really fun having Nora around to entertain them. Trav and I just loooooooove hanging out with her and watching what new and cool things she can do that it makes it all so special to share her 'Nora-ness' with the family. She did great and was such a trooper staying up late to party with us. Next year is going to be just as awesome when we have Nora and Baby Kai to stare at and be entertained by.
