Seven Months
We've hit the 7 month mark and to celebrate we're eating yams! Heh heh. The introduction to solids has been going really well and Nora is eating like a champ! She loves being fed and gets so excited when she sees me in the kitchen getting it all ready for her. Her arms go up and down and she likes to squeal in delight. We've been trying new foods about every 4 days so she's already accomplished rice cereal, oatmeal, barley cereal, sweet potatoes, carrots, squash, pears, apples and banana's!
Some other things to update:
- Her two teeth on the bottom have popped out. She still has the toothless grins but not for too long until the teeth grow bigger
- Still no hair but at least the bald spot on the back is covered with her fine fine hair - so bring on the hats to keep her noggin warm!
- She's babbling... for the past couple of days I'd catch her babbling to herself or whichever toy happens to be in her mouth at the time or when she gets really tired... it's so cute, she has a little voice
- She's pooped in her potty! We've bought a baby potty just to try and see if we can capture her poo's and so far it's worked quite a few times. It just means that we need to be really diligent about watching her cues (or grunts for that matter) and stick her on there to finish up her business. It's one less diaper to change and if it means in the future she'll associate the potty for poos quicker then all the better for us when we need to get her off the diapers! :)
- Not crawling yet. She still loves to sit upright, find our hands and then push up to standing. She's sitting pretty solid now and is able to pick up toys from around her and play with them.
Happy 7 Months Nora!
