Life Outside the Apartment

We definitely ventured out a lot more this weekend and what a great weekend to do so. The weather was so nice and springy, everyone and their dogs, babies etc were out and about! It's so good to finally get that warm sunshine - makes people smile more!

We've had many visitors come by over the past three weeks so life has mostly been in the apartment. But this weekend, we were out quite a bit and had lots of fun introducing Nora to whole world of things! On Saturday, we met up with Cherie, Mike, Sandra & Alyssa for a Baby Open House at the Roundhouse. There were a bunch of vendors that were showcasing their products (anything to do with babies, parenting etc). So, I got to do a little bit of shopping for Nora and myself! :)

Afterward we all went out for lunch at Cactus Club... Nora's first restaurant experience! Oh yah, and just before that, I finally conquered the breastfeeding in public! Cherie had sewed and made me a 'hooter hider', basically a cover for me while I breastfeed Nora. And mission accomplished! :)

Then later that evening we made our way to my parents for a surprise birthday party for Cherie! Fun times - it was great, her mom (who lives in London) made a special trip out to celebrate her birthday. What a day... and even though the car ride back home that night felt really long (poor Nora must've cried the whole way home), she must've tired herself out b/c that night she slept for 5 hours! Something that has yet to be repeated, tee hee! :)
