Ready to roll...

It was exciting times for the Jetta this week. It went in for it's regular 6 month check up, mainly to change the oil and figure out what the rattling noise in the back was an 'lo and behold there were some major things. We got a new air filter, a new oil pan (reason for the rattling noise), a few new rear lights, and some brand new tires! Yikes, and it was only supposed to go in for the 'small' service... uhhh NOT!

We decided to find our own tire dealership b/c the VW dealership were charging some crazy amounts! We ended up going to OK tire, on 3rd ave off just off the Granville Bridge and ended up saving quite a bit of money. Anyway, I'm really excited to have the new tires as the old tires were completely worn down and probably not very safe in the recent icy / rainy conditions - so peace of mind for sure!

On top of the car fixings, we took our snowboards in sharpen the edges and a wax, so now we're ready to hit the slopes! Yes, very silly that we haven't gone up snowboarding yet while the conditions have been so good both locally and in Whistler. We're heading up next weekend for Radical's ski trip to Big White, so it'll be a great way for us to start the season (finally!).
