Eating and Eating and oh yah, more eating!

This really has been a busy week of eating out, thanks to birthday celebrations and Dine Out Vancouver!

It was dinner on Saturday at SoHo in Burnaby for Pauline's big 30th, and then brunch on Sunday at Fets on Commercial Drive for Travis's birthday celebration.

On Tuesday, a group of us went to "Ouisi Bistro" on Granville, near 14th, as part of Dine Out Vancouver. Ouisi Bistro is a New Orleans restaurant, specializing in Creole and Cajun food. We asked the server how to pronounce the name, and it's basically, "Yes" in French, hence "Oui" and "Yes" in Spanish, hence "Si". Trav's original thought was that it might have tied in with the 'ouisi' in Louisiana, good guess though!

For the $25 menu, we received a three course meal, where mine included Cajun Style Crab cakes, yummy Apricot Brandy Glazed half chicken, and topping it with delicious profiteroles for dessert!

Then last night for Chad's birthday celebrations we went for dinner at La Regalade. It's a cute and quaint French Bistro out in West Vancouver with really delicious and rich food! Travis tried the beef short ribs with peppercorn sauce, while I tried the 7 hour lamb. Everyone's main dish came in their own pot, straight out the oven, everything was really tender and oh so delish! Cindy ventured and had rabbit... I wasn't as adventurous! Apparently the bistro also have their own cookbook so you can try their recipes.

So, I'm all dined out... well, until Monday when we join Josh and Mon at Bogarts Chophouse for another Dine Out adventure!
