Last Few Days on the Beach...

Happy Labour Day!

Summer is just about over and we ended it with an awesome weekend away on Vancouver Island visiting Janie and Bill. We also got to spend some time with the Legers and the Adamsons.


We visited the local farmer's market (apparently Martha was back with her delicious cinnamon buns!), played 9 holes at Sunnydale, shopped at the Artisan Festival, and ate lots! On Sunday we had a big family feast which started with roasting corn and ended with roasting marshmallows over the campfire! We hadn't done that in ages, and I got to try out my first s'mores (roasted marshmallow on chocolate on graham crackers)... delish!

Trav likes to think that September is the 'real' start to a new year, since summer's winding down, people are heading back to school, the weather will become crisp and the leaves will start to turn colour. So, to all, "Happy New Year!" :)
