Dubrovnik
After a 2:30am wake up call, a train ride to the Gatwick Airport, more security than we've ever seen in our lives, a 2.5 hour flight, a little sightseeing in Split, and a 5 hour drive, we FINALLY made it to Dubrovnik! Needless to say, we were a little on the tired side, but very happy to be here.
Dubrovnik is beautiful, and we promise to post pics very soon! We are staying in the old city which is surrounded by a fort dating back around 1200 years (Trav thinks). The city inside is just amazing, we really didn't know what to expect and are very impressed! We took a walk on the walls today and got to learn a bit more about the history (which went in one ear and out the other for me... learning on vacation isn't my thing.. tee hee... but Trav on the other hand can tell you much more than I can!)
Tomorrow we plan to drive back up the coast to a small town called Betina. It's probably about another 5 to 6 hour drive, and then we'll stay at our friend's house. Betina is actually on an island accessible by bridge and borders on the Kornati Islands National Park.
Stay tuned for more updates!
